Britt Broadus (she/her)
My story
Hi! I'm Britt, an actor and artist born and raised in the DMV area! Like many artists, I fell in love with theatre from a young age because of the freedom it gave me to express myself and the community that welcomed me with open arms. As I grew up, my passions evolved as I became a dedicated volunteer in my community for those who faced accessibility barriers to resources. I became devoted to helping others, feeling that it is my purpose in life. I have always felt that helping others goes beyond supporting one's physical needs and that art can be a powerful healer.

I continued to explore my passions in both theatre and public service at the University of Rochester. In 2024, I graduated with a BA in Psychology and English: British and American Literature, and minors in Brain and Cognitive Sciences and Theatre.

I started my career post-grad working in psychology, and I see a lot of overlap between how the arts and psychology can support people's need to feel seen, heard, and connected with others. I'm deeply fascinated by the intersection between psychology and theatre. Like psychology, theatre is an outlet to process difficult emotions and make sense of the world around us. Now, as I pursue a career in acting, I seek to make theatre that supports people's ability to reflect on their feelings, experiences, and beliefs. Theatre that supports needs that go beyond the physical. Theatre is more than entertainment; it has the power to heal.
Theatre is vital.
